I am thinking of buying a 2 berth caravan for touring around France etc.

I have been told that they are expensive here.

Any information would be welcome.

You say you have been told, have you looked at the sites where such things are sold yourself?

Joe, they are more expensive compared to UK, but also different in their layouts, often having fixed beds for example (and a door on the RHS !)

You need to look at previous threads (do a forum search) about registering UK caravans though if you go down the UK route. You may prefer to buy one here rather than have the hassle of registration. It's not a difficult task, but you do have to follow the procedures correctly and the important Certificate of Conformity makes all the difference.
