crossy67
Is an certificate of conformity ok to register your car in France? I have one in English and have been reading that newer cars already have them with their paperwork so no need to apply for one from the manufacturer. Surely if you had one in your cars hand book that would also be in English?
AnOther
Although some prefectures would have it differently the language a C of C is written in is irrelevant, the categories are harmonised and all they need to actually read are the numbers.TBH I would be surprised to find a C of C in a car's handbook. New cars will be supplied with one for their initial registration but it will be surrendered as part of the process. That said I'm not into buying new cars and I guess that it's possible some manufacturers might include a second copy, can't really think why they would though when they know they can charge for one if it's subsequently required.
