Mechanic in Bron Lyon - Help Please!

Hi,

I was driving around France a week ago, but unfortunately the head gasket blew. I've had to leave the car in the street in the Bron area of Lyon (free parking area) and fly back to the UK.

Does anyone know of a mechanic in that area - preferably honest and cheap?

Or could you link me to anyone that could help, or notify anyone on the forum who might live there?

I could scrap the car but would prefer not to. Unfortunately it's a right hand drive Rover.

You may find that the car is impounded if it doesn't move at least once every 7 days.

Of course it might not be noticed, but there is a rule about this.

Um so what is the cost to get it out of the impound? I'm sort of using Google Translate here and get the feeling that it's 35 Euros. However I thought that it meant that the vehicle is impounded if parked incorrectly. Mine is parked in a free parking bay on a side street.

I assuming that if it was left there then I'd be traced.

Might be Ok if it's not on the street, but if it is taken there is a parking fine, 35€ plus the cost of getting it out of the pound ( around 100€ in my town) and a daily charge while it is there
