richyrich Posted October 30, 2005 Share Posted October 30, 2005 I presently own a small studio in 74 in my name, but do not wish to sell, as the rental income is high and will more than cover the mortgage payments for a larger apartment - for which i have just signed a 50/ 50 compromise de vente with my fiancee. I would like to have both properties in joint names, as my wife to be is putting more money into the second property, and the value of the estate would then be equal, which is only fair. We don't have any children as yet!My question is, what is the best way of doing this, so as not to be overwhelmed by complicated inheritance laws, Capital gains, tax problems, etc?
