Bob2
HiI have just received my first bill from EDF. Under autres prestations there is an amount charged for acess a l'energie electricite. What is it for, is a one-off payment for a new account. I am on the standard tarrif. Is this suitable for a holiday home? Bob
Owens88
I have checked my bills the 'access a..' element has only appeared once, the first bill. However a similar amoiunt has appeared ever after, but called 'contribution au service public d'electricite'. John
Quillan
Is this not the standing charge?
BJSLIV
Is this the standing charge? No its another small charge that was introduced a couple of years agoaas part of the opening of the electricity market. They dropped the price of each unit by a few cents, and then put exactly the same amount back in again as a new charge to cover some part of the network cost which is no loger the responsibility of EdF.
