dave21478
Its easy enough except you now need to fill out a NOVA customs declaration on the government website. This must be done straight away. If its not done in the first week, when you do try to register your car with DVLA you will be fined £5 per day for every day since your initial week has elapsed.https://www.gov.uk/nova-log-in
idun
We chose not to keep our french car. Felt like too many hoops to jump through and these included costs that I felt disinclined to pay. So we sold and bought a RHD.And let's face it, there are disadvantages in both countries when driving from the 'wrong' side of the car. As I live in England now, when I take the car to France, these holidays are less time than my 'everyday' driving.
Jonzjob
It may well be worth selling your left hooker in the U.K.? There seem to be quite a few places that offer reasonable prices there these days. Plus, would it be worth selling it here, 2nd hand prices here are good, and then buying a RHD in the U.K. You should be able to get the same model there?Even if you are going to be coming back for hols, etc., it has to be a better idea to be able to sit where you can see whilst doing most of your driving?
