wanabie French residence Posted January 31, 2006 Share Posted January 31, 2006 Hi, this is my first time posting a message on this forum so I hope I am doing everything correctly. For many years I have dreamed of living in the South of France and finally my financial situation has come together to allow me to try this for a year. I am hoping to move in June 2006 and have decided the Department 34 is where I would love to settle. Despite numberous visits to Beziers and surrounding areas I am finding it hard to find a house to rent long term. All I am quoted for is Holiday Lets.Could anyone give me advise on how to overcome this difficulty or perhaps contacts in France who could assist me with this search.I do not intend working in France but have sufficient funds to cover a years rent in advance and my own living expenses for the duration. Clair Posted January 31, 2006 Share Posted January 31, 2006 Long lets in France are usually handled by agents immobiliers (estate agents).Try looking in www.pagesjaunes.frtype in agents immobiliers or locations immobilières for your chosen area, and robert est votre oncle!!
