Lehaut
After the "successful" implementation of a supply with Direct Energy for our flat, have now received notification of another supplier, Happ e Engie (ex GDF Suez). They claim to give you 8% saving on the regulated price of electricity (abonnement is the same as EDF). No work necessary on your current installation, no rupture of supply (claimed on their site). Have applied for a supply to our current house. Anyone else given it a go?https://www.happ-e.fr/
Chancer
As it seems you are already with direct énergie what is the point? You should already be saving 8% wont these people just be the same price?Ah, just seen that its a house not your flat!I could not wait to get away from EDF but Direct énergie have been great so I would not be trying another unless they dissapoint or there are more savings to be had. Lehaut
Indeed, two contracts for two different dwellings. Interested to make a comparison between the two. Hopefully for a short time as the house has to go!The only disappointment so far with Direct Energy is that they rang us up to ask if we thought we were paying too much for our supply! Telesales. pomme
When the French energy market was opened up there were regulated and unregulated tariffs. Initially the unregulated tariff (as offered by Direct Energy, Happ e Engie) were higher than the regulated (the original EDF) tariff but they are now lower. I believe it was initially the case that once you had switched to an unregulated tariff (including the alternative one EDF offered) you could never switch back to a regulated tariff, even if that became more advantageous to you.Does anyone know if that is still the case? Lehaut
It does say in their blurb that you can cancel the contract at any time and revert to another supplier.Happ e at some stage, gave "free days" or reduced standing charges to their clients perhaps to off set the price.Have to wait till we are connected to see if it works. pomme
I suspect that might mean another supplier with an unregulated tariff.
