Abbaye
Hello, we are in the process of finding about registering with the MSA when we come to live in France permanently later this year. We have the required amount of land. Aside from whatever income we can make from the property, ie. selling produce, renting rooms etc what would the situation be should my partner want to do some work as a stonemason, which is his current trade in the UK? I am presuming that this activity does not fall under the umbrella of the MSA? But what of cotisations etc. If we are already paying them to the MSA would they cover him working on peoples houses as an artisan?Mandy
Teamedup
He would either have to work for someone else, and thus have his normal cotisations (stoppages), or register as some sort of artisan and pay the cotisations too. I can't see you getting around not paying cotisations when someone is working.
