jen
Have been thinking of buying a plot of land with the intention of building a house in the future - just wondering if it would be possible to site a caravan on the land for a few weeks of the year - or would that need planning permission? Quillan
Because you said its for a few weeks f the year I assume you mean a touring van in which case no. With static vans it is best to check with the mayor.
Opalienne
Yes, do check with the Maire. Our village has just changed the designation of lots of empty land and a neighbour who had a caravan in his field for three months during the summer has now been told that he's not allowed to do so, since his field is in a 'zone vert'. We live in a small rural village and everyone is a bit surprised/upset by this. If your land is 'constructible' it shouldn't be a problem, but I would advise you to make sure.
