Owens88 Posted February 11, 2006 Share Posted February 11, 2006 I agree with the recommendation about Languedoc-Roussillon.As to anywhere in particular I would STRONGLY suggest that you choose a place (village/town) that does not die in winter. For me I would check that the bakery, bar and restaurant(s) can be walked to and the people still do in winter.in CONFLENT/CERDAGNEI obviously like Vernet Les Bains, but working back towards the coast VilleFranche, Prades, Vinca, Millas perhaps..I wouldn't recommend further up toward Mont Louis, but others will have their own views.
