luckypierre
I am hoping to move to France and would like some advice. I spent the last few winter seasons in the Haute Savoie(Morzine) and would dearly love to return.I am a decorator by trade and would love to transfer my skills and be able to work and live in France. What is the best way to go about setting up shop???ThanksPete
Val_2
You will need to visit your local Chambre de Metiers and register as an Artisan here and take it from there when you have done the five day compulsory stage de gestion. Don't forget all the horrendous charges that will keep coming at you once you have registered so you will need a money reserve for a while until you start to get work. Depending on your projected turnover, there are various schemes regarding the TVA and micro entreprise so you need a good accountant to advise you and the stage will put you in touch with all these professionals as well as the insurance companies etc
