Does anyone know where to go to become a registered builder in Northern France?

Dear forum, can anyone please tell us the first place my husband should go to register as a builder?  He has ran his own building company here in the UK for the past 10 years. We are hoping to move to France in the not too distant future and we would like to get as much sorted as we can before we go.

Your local Chambre de Metiers (which obviously depends on where you are). More and more have English speaking staff, and are usually very helpful (in any language!).

Be prepared for alot of paperwork and expense.
