Val_2 Posted January 24, 2006 Share Posted January 24, 2006 Retirement homes in France are notoriously expensive, why do you think families keep their elderly relatives at home as long as they can. If an aged parent has to go into care whether private or public, the family are usually asked to contribute a good 50% of the charges and at 49€ per day which is what our local geriatric hospital charges,you can see why its expensive.
