Opalienne
Not round us, though some communes have a 'cyberpoint' which is subsidised and pretty cheap to use
Teamedup
Not around me, but some places have it.
Lou
Before we got our own access at home sorted out, we used 2 differentfree computer/internet points - both called "Espace PublicInformatique" - provided by the local councils/Conseil General. One is within a "Point Information" which offers access to servicesfrom the Prefecture, ANPE etc in a small town near us (65). Don't knowif this is something particular to our departement though. Wefound them both just by looking around. My guess is thatgenerally bigger towns are more likely to havesomething...............Tourist Infomation offices might be able tohelp, they must get loads of tourists wanting to check email!Lou
suein56
HiI used to use one of the two computers which were internet connected and available for public use in the local mairie.Sueedit: sorry - forgot to say that usage was completely free for anyone who was staying or living in the commune. La vieille
When we first bought our house we used a suite of computers at the local library, it cost something like 1€80 for an hour. If you only used 40 minutes then you were only charged for 40 minutes and given a credit for the next time you came. It was brilliant and called Médiathèque. Val3
At our local library it's supposed to be 2.40 euros/hour but quite oftens the librarian waves me away when I go to pay
PossumGirl
It does exist at our local library for "members." However, since joining the library is 5€ per year for the entire family, I pretty much consider that free!PG
