Jack
Hi all, I'm new to the site, and looking for a fresh start and challenge.I have a varied background, in that I am a joiner to trade, but since then over the years I have had various jobs in sales and marketing, outdoor activities, and eleven years police experience in a supervisors role. We are now looking to move to France, to take on the French lifestyle, and although we know it is hard to get employment in France wondered if anyone could provide some guidance and support. My wife is a trained nursery nurse, and between us we are willing to take any suggestion on. Look forward to any support / guidance on this matter. Alex.
TWINKLE
Hi Alex,You both seem to have great skills that would be useful and enterprising in any village or town here in France. However, you didn't mention if either of you speak french or not.
Beryl
As a skilled joiner, I would think those skills will provide more openings for you (if you seek them out) than the other skills you mention. If you can speak French, it may be a good idea to send a CV to the building companies in the area where you want to live. I know that many new house builds are delayed because of a lack of available artisans.
