You can work without qualifications (although no employer will give you a salaried job), but you can't work (as a self-employed person) without registration. In some fields qualifications may be necessary for registration - although experience often counts for more.Bags of info on registration on this forum - do a search.BTW, as there are no "building regs" in France, you can do more or less what you want to your own home. Other forums are available - your experiences may vary. The value of your investments may fall. You may not get back all the money you pay in. E&OE, etc etc... Val_2 Posted March 1, 2007 Share Posted March 1, 2007 You would also be obliged to provide Public and 10 year guarantees on your work and if you are not french registered then you cannot get this insurance.
