fermette
Hi, we've been looking to buy a couple of sofas with washable loose covers but the shops in the our area don't seem to stock them (Jonzac, 50 km north of Bordeaux). Can anyone give me the name of stockists for such items, either national or local? Otherwise it seems we may have to order them in the UK and ship them down. Thanks in advance
zeb
Have you tried Ikea at Bordeaux?www.ikea.fr
Christine Animal
I just did a search for "canapé housse amovible" and amongst others Ikea came out, there is one in Bordeaux. Here"s what they selected for canapés with loose covers (housse amovible), but if you do your own search you may find more :Ikea BordeauxEdit: Got there are the same time Zeb! There are plenty in France if in any big furniture store you ask for a "canapé à housse amovible et lavable". Here's another (but it's an Ikea again!) :Marie Claire MaisonLa Redoute also do them. fermette
Thanks - yes I'd looked on the Ikea website but they don't do the colour we want. I'll try the Marie Claire website - and now that I know what the French for loose covers is I will maybe have more luck.
Blanche Neige
Hi, we've been looking to buy a couple of sofas with washable loose covers but the shops in the our area don't seem to stock them (Jonzac, 50 km north of Bordeaux). You could try FLY which is on the main road from Pons to Saintes, closer to Saintes really, opposite the airbase. We bought a sofa bed there recently . Cat
It might be worth your while visiting the Ikea store anyway, as they don't have their full range of goods available for internet shoppers and will have a wider selection in-store.
fermette
Thanks for all the replies - will certainly go to FLY and we intend to visit Bordeaux later this year so will visit IKEA also.
