lemans
Hi,Does anybody know if I can be paid via the Cheque Emploi service scheme by a non French resident? The person I wish to work for has a French bank account and a holiday home here in France but is an English resident.I am aware that when I am paid via Cheque Emploi service, I receive a cheque for say 10 euros, but they will end up having to pay my cotisations and potentially end up having to 15 or 20 euros. However, I'm not sure if they are able to pay my cotisations if they are not resident in France. Many thanks, lemans
Mikew
I use Cheque emploi, but am resident,. I do not remember any restrictions on residency, the account is tied to the payees french bank account, and this is where cotisation deductions are paid from (by direct debit). The only down side is that the non resident may not be in the french tax system and may not get any tax relief due. You have to have a social security number to be in the system. Cerise
Anyone with a French bank account can get the Cheque Emploi chequebook. If they are not French resident they will not get the tax relief so will pay the whole amount i.e. what they pay you plus cotisations.
