dryliner
i used to live in france and i was a registered artisan but i now live in uk. i have been aked to do some work in france,i have a public liability insurance that covers me in france and i am registered self employed in the uk,i can get temporary medical cover via an e101 from newcastle and the eu rules state that i can work anywhere in europe so is france obstructing my attemts to work there because of the requirement to have a decenal insurance that is impossible to obtain unless you are registered there. i was questioned last year by someone from the labour dept in france (someone reported me)who photocopied my uk tax card and niether i nor my client have heard anything else,.i do not do any structural alterations just plastering and boarding etc and i do not intend working more than 180 days in france in one year. i cannot get a decenal insurance unless i register in france and i need to have the said insurance to work legally in france and the lack of the insurance is all that i stopping me working in france. i know this has been done to death on here but are there any legal minds on the forum able to give an opinion,i feel i would like to write a letter to my mep with what i feel is a genuine complaint,or do you think otherwise ?
