AnOther
I thought that but uncharacteristically I kept it to myself [:D]It's the setting up which would concern me, buying a going concern would be a different matter.Still, lets wish the OP's brother the best of luck shall we.I have friends in Albox so I will know where to go should I get a craving for a Pot Noodle [+o(]
Framboise
You'll think me a philistine but...........those frozen microwave hamburgers in a roll.My son loves the things - says they remind him of england, sitting in Mcdo's stuffing his face!
AnOther
Not a philistine but............if you didn't buy him such junk he couldn't eat it could he [;-)]
Framboise
Excuse me, but he buys them HIMSELF. At 21 he is perfectly capable of deciding what HE wants to eat.Another item to stock would be a couple of sizes in nappies - nobody wants to drag the things across europe cos they're so bulky
AnOther
I see, I take it the nappies wouldn't be for him either then [Www][:D]

Anton Redman II
I would take a long hard look at the potential market. Last visit we paid to Spain South coast was littered with UK focused businesses which had closed following the mass exodus when Spain changed its health card regieme for the Brittish. oldgit72
Tents. I nearly bought a place there before buying in France. Glad I didn't after recent news about Brits made homeless after getting their illegally built houses demolished.
Framboise
Obviously not. My son is a grown man at 21! What I actually meant was that to save parents lugging darned great packs of nappies out to Spain they could buy them in the little shop close to where they're staying. Who wants to pay excess baggage on Pampers?

Will
AnO and SD - it appears irony is a lost art on forums like this.Oh, I forget, disposable nappies don't need ironing do they? From the comparatively few times I have been to Spain, it would seem that anywhere where there are plenty of British tourists or residents is pretty well catered for by English sections in the supermarkets or existing 'English shops'. I think if your relation has found somewhere where this is not the case, he should seize the opportunity.
Pierre ZFP
Did anyone mention Marmite? and fresh (ie not UHT) milk? Then there's always Bisto, custard, salad cream.... the list is endlesss.Makes you proud of our culenry traditions don't it [6]
Framboise
Ok I give up. Remove my suggestion since its obvious that some of you only want to ridicule.By the way, how long is it since you had to lug all the necessities for a small child across europe? If Erics brother thinks it's a good idea I am sure he will take on board the suggestions no matter what little bit of fun we have on the forum [:)]
