hiring out a camper van

I'm posting this topic just to gauge if there might be a demand for the

rental of my T4 VW camper van.

Like many others here I'm trying to come up with ways to make a living,

and it would be a legitimate business if indeed it appeared it could be

successful.

Any thoughts, advice etc.. will be gratefully received.

Not sure how you'd make legitimate money with just one small camper van. Insurance would likely be the biggest stumbling block as your current policy will almost certainly not cover it for hire or reward and a suitable commercial policy will cost you far far more than a private one, and probably carry a significant excess too. To be legal you would have to register as some sort of business, AE at least I would have thought.

Also, even if you took say £500 or £1000 deposit against damage, a lot of money for the class of client such a small van might appeal to,  a breakdown or crash, maybe hundreds of km away, could easily wipe it out, possibly many times over.

I'm sorry but I don't see this idea flying.
