St_Jacques
Have been told that Scottish Power are owned by EDF (or the other way round!?) - if so does that mean we can pay our France electricty bill by direct debit akin to our english account with Scottish Power?Dale
Ron Avery
If you mean pay Scottish Power for an EDF bill in France then the answer is No, but you can do a direct debit from a French bank to pay EDF.

Michael
Do you lot not understand, they are buying up our electric companys so we brits can help to pay to decommision there dodgy radioactive power stations.Good ole new labour.Michael.
Ron Avery
Yes we understand, but don't let facts get in the way of a Tory party political broadcast. France has been supplying the UK's National Grid for years via the convertor station in Kent and a cable under the Channel. However much of the UK power supply, not generation, is now foreign owned, and in London, East Anglia and the South by EDF.This of course would not have been possible had the TORIES not privatised the Electricity industry. Now I wonder who sold off the water, the gas, the buses, the railways.............
