Cici
we have discovered nice floor tiles under our lino tiles. They were covered with glue - we used a product - decapant - to remove glue and although this will require a second coat it has worked quite well. However there is a white residue that remains on some of the tiles - any ideas on a product to remove stubborn stains from floor tiles???Any ideas would be greatMany thanksCiCi
Chrissie
As a starter try a generous dollop of white vinegar in some very hot water. It may not remove these old stains but is a good general cleaner for tiles and certainly won't harm them.Chrissie
Danny
Hi CI-CI You dont say if your living in france or have a holiday home so the ans/ I have is for the materials to be purchased in the u/k. Here goes get yourself in contact with a comercial cleaning supply company (Yellowe/pages) And you need to ask for a hard tile floor stripping chemicle, Now depending on the size of the floor area will depend if you need to use a srubbing/machine or if a small area you can do a on your knee,s job. if you do use any stripping chemicle make sure you use the rubber gloves. All you do is read the instructions and having applied the chemicle just wait and then you will see the glue etc just pealing off. make sure you give the floor a very good clean with water and let it dry and then put a seal on it and enjoy many months of just the odd mop when needed, You can get the seal and if needed hire the srubbing machine from the commercial cleaning supply. hope this has helped
