ronni_allen
I`m sure I read a thread ages ago about this but I can`t find it any where. We have a wooden floor with it looks like earth underneath, What can we/should we put down, we have been advised to concrete it and tile it but I don`t want to! We have a few rotten boards but ideally we would like to do whatever necessary and replace them with reclaimed boards. Any suggestions???Many ThanksRonni
Chippiepat
I would assume that you dont mean the boards are laid direct on the earth? or are they ? I would suggest that you either dig out the earth & lay a new traditional suspended timber floor, or you could possibly lay a concrete floor including a d.p.m. with treated battens cast into the concrete which you could then fix the new floorboards to. Good luckPat
