blighty
This type of gas is expensive. Can't give you any exact details as I don't know the size/layout of your property. Generally a lot dearer than heating oil or mains gas.Blighty
giles
We use "tanked" gas for cooking and also for a hot water geyser-type heater. The gas seems to be hotter for cooking than North Sea gas - perhaps our cooker is unsophisticated, but it is hard to simmer. I suspect one needs a mesh ring or some other spacer between the flame and the saucepan (this sounds like a topic in Food & Drink!)Giles
Jc
Our little town in France now has a number of signs "Natural Gas is coming to Marseillan(34)".Many years ago it had a gasworks-now it only has a Chemin de Gaz.It also had a station but that road has been renamed.I dread the upheaval with all the new pipes to go in.
