Cragrat
I have scanned our information from EDF to no avail. So here goes can anyone help with the following query (before I brave the French phonecall to EDF).We would really like to build a sunroom on the front of our house. We have the space and no neighbours to overlook just lovely countryside with wonderful sunsets. The problem is our electricity cupboard is inset into the front wall. Do EDF insist on permanent access to the meter cupboard? If so has anyone had to have their cupboard moved and is it a hugely costly process?Any advice/information would be gratefully received.Thank you! Anton Redman
When the EDF re installed our system they insisted that the mains feeds ran down the outside of the building and that the runs inside the house to the meter etc. were as short a possible. The meter they installed had a small wire ( about the gauge of phone wire ) to a socket in the outside wall which enables them to read the meter without entering the house. If you meter is a modern multi function one you may get away with a relatively small cost.
