Suse
I am buying an old fisherman'scottage in Northern Brittany. Acouple of questions. Are there any grants to help with wwodworm treatment or any other works?I have been quoted 9000 for the treatment & replacement of two timbers. I think this is outrageous. Traitement merule is 3401.68 and for de bois 3239.33.I have been told that all houses sold in Brittany shoule come with a certificate. Is that the case? Many thanks for any helpSue
val2
Don't get confused with certificate for termite treatment and woodworm which is different and does not require a certificate. There are no termites in North Brittany and if everyone who sold a house here had to supply a certificate for woodworm treatment, no properties would ever get sold. Most people treat infestation themselves and no,there are no grants available for treatment especially if it is a holiday home, the commune has more urgent needs for it's funds.
