Anton Redman
LAST EDITED ON 29-Apr-03 AT 08:03 AM (GMT)Have a look through the detail of PointP on line :http://www.pointp.fr/pp_catal_V1/jsp/CataArticleV1.srvl?art_nat=1178563&tag=US4The link as posted looks like skimming plaster as they quote coverage in gms per square metre. Also the Varal Platre manuel fiche shows a time of about 50 minutes.I was originally going to post that friends have had more success with 'Mechanical' plaster which also has a longer drying time.Hope this helps
Thedunnes
For what it is worth, you could have been given the right stuff, but on the old side. If skim is a bit old it can go off very quick, before you have time to work it.Stephen
natpaul
LAST EDITED ON 30-Apr-03 AT 04:20 PM (GMT)hi i have used the stuff here in uk if you mix with a drill too much you send it off so the moral of the story is add water add powder and mix as as quick as poss just dont over mix it,if trowel is new the heal and toe will be too square, sounds a bit brutal get angle grinder and round edges,my floating trowel and my skimming trowel were the same size when i brought them skimming trowel is now halve the width of floating trowel the secret of plastering is all down to the trowel, and dont put too much on at a time. Les Flamands
Use 'Leutec' 2000 or 3000 longue duree, available from most builders merchants sometimes to order. If they only have the 'court duree' in stock that is OK as well (about 30 mins working time if it's not too warm).RegardsCharles
