HelenChaplin
Hi - we are in the process of constructing bedrooms and a shower-room in the grenier. The plumber had already installed the large evacuation pipe up the back wall behind the proposed shower-room before he left for a long vacation in the Phillipines (so we can't phone him at the moment). In what circumstances should one install a sanibroyeur? Is it a question of distance from the fosse, length of downfall of the waste, quantity of waste or just that old fosses can't cope with solids? We have a new fosse and there are just the two of us (most of the time).I have this horrible vision of the waste plumetting down the pipe and then, rather than flowing freely to the fosse, building up at the bottom and blocking the pipe! Ugh!Can someone help please?????Thanks - Helen
Richard Hyde
This is a good tip - at the bottom of any tall, vertical pipe that takes waste, make sure you put on a long radius bend and not a 90 degree bend. This long radius bend 'sweeps' it nicely around the bend. If you want to know what a l.r.bend looks like, take a trip to your local plumb center/ plumbers merchants and they will show you!Trickie
Jean L Ecossais
They are intended for long runs thro small pipes or where all you had was a storage tank Also when you have an electricity power cut you cannot use the toilet

You should only need one where :You cannot get access for 110mm or 100 mm waste pipes with the right ( 1 in 40 fall for near horizontal pipes). You need to pump water or waste up before it enters the sewers or fosse ( normally showers etc in basements.
