Brianret
HiWe have purchased a house near Pleyben in Brittany (Finistere - 29). It requires a fair amount of diverse alterations/improvements and my limited French is not up to dealing with the various artisans who will be needed to complete the work.Has anyone used a project manager to do this for them? I would be grateful for any advice or names of people who "project manage" in my area - approx 20km north of Quimper.Bri
Lf
This is a good alternative to employing a general building company who have all the trades under one roof. I have done a fair amount of this sort of thing in the past but the main problem seems to be that the client has unrealistic expectations regarding the progress of the job. Most Artisans will offer a 6 month to 1 year lead time and unless the p.m. can provide regular work for all trades then he's not going to be able to do any better than the client would himself in terms of progressing the work.RegardsCharleshttp://www.lesflamands.com/hr
