Blossom
We want to run 45 metres of electric cable above ground (40m along a wall and 5m aerially) to supply a gite from a barn electricity supply. This has been OKed by EDF in principle as long as we do it in one length but we want to run the cable ourselves as their quote is extortionate! In Mocoeur, the elctrical wholesalers, our limited French failed us when trying to discover the size of wire needed for an aerial supply so could anyone tell us what size wire to buy please? We prefer to buy from somewhere like Bricodepot where we won't be having to raise a mortgage to do it! Many thanks, all you electricians!
Lf
If it is single phase you would need a 2 core 10 or 16mm.sq. cable depending on the size of the existing incoming feed. You won't get this in Bricodepot. Try Omnium who will have it in stock and cut it to length - make sure you allow enough for making the connections at either end. It is very costly due to the large amount of copper.RegardsCharleshttp://www.lesflamands.com/hr
