Diynovice
We have bought a house in the SW France. In some of the rooms there is horrible pine ceilings! I don't know why but they seem to be really popular in France! Are they generally hiding a multitude of sins or is there a decent ceiling above?Does anyone have any advice/suggestions/ideas?Look forward hearing from you. Nick Trollope
I think that you will find them traditional! (Around here at least). Our house is full of them - actually, they are nice "beadboard" ceilings, with edge detailing, not just T&G.I doubt if you will find anythying above them, spiders apart, including insulation; just the bottom of the floor above.Replace them with plasterboard if you wish....Nickhttp://www.aplaceinfrance.com
