Marym2
HiAs we have a old Bulter sink and the sink in the house is quite grotty, we are thinking of bringing it over and using that. Has anyone done this and fixed one here, and if so did they use french fittings or bring them from England? Thanks
Kevinandval
We bought an old french china sink in france to fit in our french house, we could not buy any of the fitting (s bend etc.) in france, we bought the sink home to england went to the nearest plumbing merchants and got everything we needed! so I think you are best taking all the parts you need with you. Bobc
If you go to a specialist plumbing supplier rather than a 'brico' you will be able to purchase all of the fittings that you require. My suppliers, Wendels in Villeneuve-sur-Lot carries a huge range of fittings and adaptors and has enabled me to fit all types of sinks and also thermostatic shower mixers onto 30 year-old narrow spaced feed pipes.Certainly no need to source any parts from the UK!Kind regards,Bob Clarkehttp://perso.wanadoo.fr/grindoux
