Iceni
I am not suggesting that the following is in any way related to this forum - just be warned.About 2 weeks ago I received an e-mail to my French e-mail address from 2 (English type) names on the same e-mail source. wording as follows > hi John > > can you give me direction to your place. > > then i can contact you about coming to look at your roof. the same ISPI know nothing of either of the 2 individuals. I replied asking when/where we had met and why did they want to see my roof. But surprise surprise it's over a week and no reply. Not sure what it's all about but something smells.Johnhttp://www.iceni-it.co.uk
Jeff
Hello IceniLast week too received an email basically the same. They said they had recently bought in 50 and wanted to know where I am situated and when I am next in France, to get acquainted. My reply asking for their details have proved not to be fruitful.. Stocky
LAST EDITED ON 30-Jul-04 AT 08:29 AM (BST)The true moral to this story is that if you receive an e-mail from any sender you are not certain of DO NOT REPLY. On replying you are opening up your address to a range of spam e-mails. Key principle in junk mail is to gather together addresses and sell them.
