Dc
Today I visited a specialist shop selling central heating boilers and the necessary copper pipe etc. After receiving a devis I compared a couple of items with my local Brico and to my horror observed the following:75 metres of 22mm copper pipe in specialist shop 576 Euros. In local Brico 219 Euros.60 metres of 14mm copper pipe in specialist shop 282 Euros. In local Brico 98 Euros.I know people have got to make a living but I think that this is a bit much. Does anyone know of a decent plumbers merchant in 17,79,16regardsdc
Bobc
The prices that you have quoted from a specialist supplier would seem to be fairly astronomical!I have just checked the current prices in our local suppliers trade catalogue and they work out at 198Euros and 95Euros for the amounts you have detailed. From that we would then take our substantial trade discount.I wonder if there has been some misunderstanding over quantities, etc with the supplier. For a good supplier in your area go to the GAPSA website - www.gapsa.fr - they will have an affiliated supplier in your area with prices similar to those I have quoted above. If you have a big project then you should look at using flexible PER pipework - far cheaper than copper and available in 200m reels - ideal for long runs underfloor without joints. Bought in bulk the connectors are more expensive than conventional joints but the time saved on an installation more than outweighs this.Forget the overpriced products sold in Bricomarché, Mr Bricolage, etc.Regards,Bob Clarkehttp://perso.wanadoo.fr/grindoux
