Abbaye
Hi, we have an old house which has a large moving crack on the front and we are trying to get someone to come and have a look at it to see what is causing it. We have had an architect down but he said that surveyors in France arent really called in to look at problems and give you an idea of the cause of the problem as they are in the UK. Can anyone recommend anyone to go to who is an expert in this type of thing. My partner is a stonemason and has a very good idea of what is causing it and will do repair works himself but he wants a second opinion from someone who has experience with old stone & clay french houses, not really an English surveyor.Thanks.Mandy

Richard-R
We used an architect to check out the the houses we looked at. Put us off a few basket cases. 50 euros a time(cash) and dinner one night, money well spent.
