cs
:ermmoes anyone know where we can buy placo rouge? We have had our walls plasterboarded with polystyrene insulation but we cannot get our new wood/coal burning cuisinere installed as the fitter says we must cut out the placo that would be around the cuisinere and replace with placo rouge due to heat/fire. No one seems to know what this is, where it can be bought, and our french friends are bewildered as they don't seem to know what it's all about either - is there anyone out there that does? zeb
Yes, know what you mean - we put it up over the chimney bricks on the bedroom wall just in case. Can't remember what it's called though, perhaps flammé or something and is pink. Available from all builders' merchants - we got ours from 3MMMs in 16 - along with the pale green water resistant plasterboard (hydro something) for bathrooms. Expensive but worth it.regards........helen
Bobc
Plaque de platre BA13 Feu M1 or Plaque de platre placoflam.Available from any decent builders merchants. If you specified the area was to be for a range then you should go back to the builder that installed the standard plasterboard and ask them to replace it.Regards,Bob Clarkehttp://perso.wanadoo.fr/grindoux
