BJSLIV
Never come across any such allowance. The double glazing/insulation is a specific provision in the tax code.Incidentally it will be unusual if you are allowed to make your your own arrangements to connect to the mains. The norm is that you lay the pipe to the boundary of your property and the water supplier, be it council or water company, connect from there to the mains. If they do it that way you should budget around 1000 Euros.
Dick Smith
Ab - please stop shouting! When we were connected to mains water the commune paid half (ish) of the total connections costs. I've no idea why, I had previously asked the maire if there was a grant and he said no, but when it came to paying they stumped up half. Worth asking? Teamedup
BJSLIV, there were tax allowances (still maybe) for double glazing if the whole house was re done, usual restrictions and upper limits. These things change though and no one should assume that it is necessarily the case that these allowances are always there.
