floyd
Most DIY stores sell it in 25L containers (sometimes they have smaller pots). There are several brands, one is called something like Xylophene - or rther that the brand as they do other stuff as well. what I've seen is "Traitment des bois multi-usages" (and there are several different makes. Its a thin milky liquis. Unsure about how good it is for rot, or if its just worm/but killer in wood.
Dave&Olive
you can now buy treatment against dry rot used to be called "the cancer of a house" once untreatable but WET ROT you will have to remove the "WETNESS" . The only cure.......

This is suitable for things like window frames where you can cut out the affected part then, if you can't get back to really sound wood, paint this on and it makes it hard (does what it says on the tin in other words )It is called Durcisseur de Bois and is available, but not widely, Mr Bricolage is usually quite good for that sort of thing.Liz (29)
