Restoring stone and mass walls

Advice needed please, anyone out there who has had dealings with stone and mass walls, and what are the problems that can be found with them? and will builders be prepared to work on them?

Unless you are in an area where there are no other stone buildings you should find loads of artisans to whom this sort of work is right up their ruelle.

If you want to be more specific in your search for somebody to do it look for a MAÇON.

not sure where you are, but in Languedoc there is no shortage of expertise.

Problem is that because there is so much renovation going on, there is a long lead time.

And don't forget that if you live in a preservation area, the planning process can be very long.

Thanks you both, we are looking at buying a house near La Haye du Puits 50250, but we have no experience with this sort of building, we are just used to brick,so trying to find out as much as possible before making any decision
