val douest
I recently bought what seemed to be a bargain circular saw in our local supermarket as a birthday present for my husband. It is made by Hyundai and the blurb inside says that replacement blades can be found at all local bricolages. Unfortunately a search of the ones nearest us has come up with nothing, and an internet search of Castorama, Leroy Merlin, BricoCom, B&Q and Screwfix has also drawn a blank. The blade size is 185mm x 20mm bore. Does anyone on the Forum have a similar saw or know where we can find replacement blades of the right size? It was only purchased lastweek so we may be able to get a refund if it turns out to be a real whiteelephant. Any help much appreciated! Thanks,Val

A variety of tooth pitches should be available, ranging from 16t to about 58t, depending on what you want to cut, and finish required. It is always a good idea to have a couple of different pitch blades, so you can "rough cut" for framing, and use a fine tooth for mitreing and finished work. A 40t blade is probably the best for general use. Hope this helps. Brian
