Dog
I am having a 5000 litre septic tank installed this week, the firm fitting it say there is nothing in the new regulations to say it cannot be situated within 4 metres of the swimming pool. Can this be correct? Nick Trollope
I was under the impression that all fosse installations had to be pre-approved. Surely if you have permission, then the location of the pool was taken into account during the (compulsory) survey. If so, I would suggest that you have no problem. BJSLIV
I agree with Nick. If you haven't already had your proposals vetted by the competent body, ask at the Mairie, it would be wise to do so. Your installer undoubtedly knows what he is doing, but it would be an unnecessary risk to have the thing installed, fail your inspection in a couple of years time, and then have to redo it all. Make sure you have official approval of your plans before you start, not afterwards,
Dog
The Mairie has approved it - and they sent a certificate to authorise the works.Let's hope they know best....
