chirpy
What is correct chimney liner for wood stoves? My jotul was fitted new 3 years ago and plumber used stainless steel liner (8 metres ) inside old large chimney previosly used for an open fire.Today another plumber is saying this is not correct and it should be an iron or steel one, double thickness .I take it from my translation it is a tube within a tube which withstands the burnt wood extractions etc.better.He also is recomending a new chimney cover to be higher than existing one to ensure good air circulation and removal of smoke.Does anyone know if the change of liner from 200m.m. stainless to 140m.m. iron/steel is correct to meet the requirements in france?I KNOW PRICE OF STAINLESS IS ABOUT 50 EURO/METRE BUT AWAIT AN ESTIMATE FOR WORK.
