Mudman
Hi guys Am in the process of renovating a huge old barn in the Charente. Have done half to give us a 3 bedroom house in which we are currently comfortably living. Took the opportunity to install all pipework for underfloor heating, but have yet to decide upon a heat source for same.Have been doing some net research on ground source heat pumps, and think we have a great opportunity here to go down that route (we have the land; underfloor heating which is particularly suited to gshp, and not least I have a mini-digger to do all the ground work).Do any of you have any experience of the installation of such a system. Any suppliers available in my region. Am keen to do as much of the installation myself, so would love to be able to obtain it in "kit" form. Also, I note that in the UK there are government grants available for such "green" systems - by some miracle is there such a scheme available over here?.Thanks in anticipationAlan
Babnik
I believe there is a 40% tax credit on all material related to 'green' technologies.
