Pierre ZFP
Adjacent to my house is a small parcel of land bordered by a fence and a gate with a strong lock. By the look of the fence, it was possibly once part of the same plot as mine but for whatever reason is now separate. The deeds show clearly that it is not mine. I the past 7 years I have only seen someone there twice and now it is incredibly overgrown and the brambles take every opportunity to invade me! I would be interested in approaching the owner to see if he/she would be interested in selling it. I have no intention to build anything but it would make my garden a nice shape and size and I could control the blasted vegatation!!!My question is, is the an easy way (website?) to find out who owns it? My neighbours don't seem to know who it is or where to look and they are always very helpful if they can answer by sometimes stoopid questions. Anybody out there know please?Pierre
Will
Best thing is to contact the mairie. They will have records of who owns everything in the commune. Even if the owner is not willing to sell, the maire has powers to make him or her tidy up the rubbish and weeds.

Kiras_Back
The Mairie sometimes won't knowSo, go off to the prefectural records office who should have it on microfiche, I've done this a few times for clients with 'non-existant' neighboursKira
