Gunner
Does anyone know if you can buy linseed oil or paint with linseed oil in it? We have an old window that we have stripped down and have been told we should repaint with linseed oil. If not any other suggestions? In some places it has completely dried out and cracked, and other places where the glass has broken the wood still seems a bit damp. Help. I don't want to get a new window. sophie.b
Most supermarkets will have it as well in their "home" section (with the light bulbs, batteries, etc.)
moos
Teak oil is another useful oil. Like tung oil it includes hardeners. But with any oil, it's best to rub it in with a lint-free rag and then rub it some more, rather than just painting it on.
