Grumpy
We have a rather splendid grenier which I intend to convert for use as a bedroom. I would like some advice on the woodwork/woodworm aspects. Currently the beams and rafters etc are open and easily sprayed for capricorn/woodworm/bestioles. If I now cover these up with insulation and plasterboard what are my chances of suffering from an infestation in the years to come? Perhaps I should include some form of access - any thoughts would be most gratefully received.Steve
Nick Trollope
I would be inclined to inject, rather than spray a treatment, and I would use a Pro who will offer me a long guarantee - not really that expensive. Thereafter they shouldn't be a problem, which is good, as I doubt if you could make the roof accessible enough to re-treat.
