JohnM
In reply to an email to find out if I needed permission to paint my shutters a nicer colour than the current dirty brown, I have been sent a Declaration de travaux exemptes de permis de construire ou declaration de cloture. (Sorry about the lack of accents). I also asked if there was a list of acceptable / approved colours, but have not had a reply to that.Does this mean that whatever colour I choose will be nodded through and this paper work is just to keep a village official in work? Alexis
We are in an historical town. We are supposed to paint our door, shutters etc, in keeping with the other residents of our street.Mainly blue - but not seaside blue - green, deep red etc. Brown of course. All worked very well until the hairdresser painted his shop orange and blue..... Bobdude
We bought a house within 500 metres of an Historical monument - we were given the choice of grey, or .................lighter grey! They even told us the exact shade numbers we had to use!
