chocccie
I want to put a woodburning stove in a building that doesn't have a chimney (and I don't want to put one in).... what are my options. I've heard about chimney kits for such circumstances, but I can't go up through the room. Does the flue have to go straight up? Or can it go horizontally, out of a hole in the wall ? (I'm sure I hear laughter.....!)Or... I could knock through a hole in the wall behind where the stove would sit. This would take me into the room next door, which is a separate, one storey building (the workshop).... could I take the flue/chimney kit through the hole and up out of the roof (which has yet to be built). Can somebody come and do it for me. My head is hurting! And one the subject of flues.... I assume I'll need to put a new one in the chimney of my farmhouse? If there is one currently, I've no idea how old it is or what state it's in. Any ideas of the cost of a new one/installation? It's a standard two storey house. As ever, thanks folks
